What is the scope of the survey?
Residential EPC surveys require a site inspection by one of our residential Energy Assessors (REA). A survey of a 3-bedroom house with three bedrooms takes between 20 and 30 minutes. To determine the area of the dwelling, the assessor will draw a floor plan and measure the walls. The assessor will take notes and photographs to help them later process the report. The survey considers the following factors:- How the property is built and insulated?
- System of space heating
- The technique for heating water
- Ventilation
- Lighting
- Any renewable technologies that are present
